Annie’s First Day of School
We dropped Annie off at school today. It was interesting to experience the first day of school from such a different perspective (being a parent rather than the teacher or student). I had to fight off some tears because Annie looked so big and independent. I said goodbye about five times because I was having a hard time leaving. On the other hand, Annie would barely look at me. She was so interested in everything around her and had absolutely no fears about being left at school. Although I wouldn’t mind if she were more dependant, it is nice sitting here knowing that she’s having a great time and completely comfortable in her new environment. I can’t wait to see how she is at the end of school! She’ll be there for 3 ½ hours which is 1 ½ hours longer than the home co-op she did last year. I’ll keep you updated!

Disneyland
Today we went to Disneyland with some friends and had a great time. This was our first time going on Pirates of the Caribbean ride since it reopened in late June. Annie has been dying to go on that ride since it closed last year! Annie loved it but Splash Mountain is still her favorite. After riding on a few more rides, we went to California Adventure where Annie went on one of her favorites, Tower of Terror. She loves it! While most everyone was on the river rafting ride, I was feeling bad for Katie because I realized she was not able to go on almost every ride we went on. Right then, a performer who was singing with a group of men asked what Katie’s name was and talked to Katie during his entire performance. Katie was dancing and having a great time. Then Chip and Dale came out and began dancing with Katie too! She had a blast!

After the Winnie the Pooh ride, Annie and Katie saw Tigger and were thrilled!

Sea World

We went to Sea World with our friends from Irvine. We had a great time exploring the park. As always, the girls loved getting splashed by Shamu and the dolphins. Annie was especially intrigued by the sting rays! We spent a lot of time touching and watching them!

Josh, Annie, Joe and Ethan on the Journey to Atlatis ride. Annie looks terrified! This is the only ride she's been on that she doesn't like!
No new picture but I thought I would let you know that Annie went to her Preschool Open House today. I had my camera but I became a little embarrassed to take pictures when I notices that seemed to be on no one elses mind. So, ... I'll just tell you with words that she absolutely LOVED it! She loved meeting her two teachers Miss Massey and Miss Amy. Every time she says Miss Amy she says with excitement, "Miss Amy, just like my auntie."
Katie LOVED Annie’s preschool too! In fact, she threw a full-on tantrum when we had to leave!
